was this lost to history or has it just be regurgitated?

by wensum24 @ 06/11/2005 - 21:37:39

8 Jan 1992 President George HW Bush vomits in the lap of Japanese Prime Minister Miyazawa Kiichi, and then faints during a state function in Tokyo. The incident spawns the Japanese slang verb bushusuru (literally, "Bushing it") to refer to puking.

~~~
Forgive me, but it is one of those occasions, whereby I cannot recall this shocking incident at all. Can anyone remember it?
How can a statesman ever live it down, after failing to keep it down.
Oh the shame.
This interests me, primarily, for the Japanese word...but what a shocker.
1992...2005...has anything changed...not really.
Is it one of those incidents which is really just an urban myth, like Marilyn Manson and The Wonder Years? LOL
hiya~~! u didn't sleep? oh noooo *.*
r uok now?
i slept but my dream was no good.
bushing it in japan refers to Bush snr of the USA, but england's 'bushing it' means, having fun with someone 'in the bushes' usually exciting, yaaaah~~! (at least in norfolk it does!)
clockmakers also use it, but that is a techie expression!!
I'm 39, and I remember this incident. It seems unbelievable, but there was actually video. There's nothing like seeing the supposed leader of the free world topple over at a state function.
